Adfil®Durus EasyFinish was specified as a technical alternative for a 40MPa concrete pavement project in Darwin, NT, after the originally specified fibre could not be supplied within the project’s required timeline.

The Project

A concrete producer requested a quotation for a significant volume of Adfil® Strux 9040 fibre for a 40MPa concrete pavement project in Darwin, Northern Territory. With a critical supply window, the customer required a solution that could be approved and supplied without delaying construction activities.

The opportunity was qualified in detail with the Project Manager to understand the application, concrete volumes, dosage requirements and project specifications.

The Challenge

Following a review of project, the available stock of Adfil®Strux 9040 would not be sufficient to comfortable service the project within the specified timelines.

The Solution

To address the project’s fibre supply challenge, Adfil®Durus EasyFinish was proposed as a technically equivalent alternative. Our Chryso team provided a complete technical package, including:

Following assessment of the submitted information package, the Consulting Engineer approved Adfil®Durus EasyFinish. The process was completed quickly, enabling the Project Manager to proceed without impacting the construction schedule.

• Original specification preference successfully converted to a Saint-Gobain solution
• Established a valuable pavement reference project for future opportunities in the Northern Territory
